3rd party launchers and the steam deck

So i'm getting a deck soon, and a facebook post sparked a question.... If a game uses a 3rd party launcher to start up, does that mean the steam deck can't play it? at least not without messing without some extra.. effort?

For Epic Games Store, GOG, and Amazon Prime Gaming use the Heroic Client

Which is a native linux client and support WINE and Proton.

For all other launchers I don't know.

worst case it has a fully functional linux desktop and those standalone popup launchers will show in a weird fullscreen format but otherwise bring you into the game normally after in the decks main menu
