I'm glad this isn't only on my end. Seems like the client's bugged. It's asking me who's playing despite me having that option off in the settings as well.

I dunno if you have this issue as well, but on top of it asking me who's playing, whether I click my profile picture or just wait, inevitably Steam ends up trying to load up the client, but ends up crashing with the "steamwebhelper, a critical Steam component, is not responding. The Steam UI will not be usable. Click here for more information." error message. Choosing the option to restart Steam fixes it, but the problem happens again whenever I run Steam after restarting my PC.

I only see this when logging in so Steam accepts anyone else using my PC.. Tick keep you logged in then you wont see it.

Does it also happen for you at every restart? Wild. I'm surprised no one's made a post about this.

Also happens to me, any fix?
Kargor Oct 10, 2024 @ 1:41pm
There's a setting on the "interface" page: "Ask which account to use each time Steam starts"
