can't put friendslist offline in steam overlay

like when i am in a game i will sigh out of friends so i can just chill with no nots but in game i can't turn it off? its 100% a big since i remember it being a tthing i can do before but is anyone else having this as well?

i an on windows and how? are you sure we are talking about the same thing?

Set your friends list to invisible instead of signing out of friends. It will look like your offline and wont show what game your playing.

Go to steam setting, then Notifications... you can turn on/off the friends notifications there, so you wont keep getting the pop-ups.
