Space Exploration Fest Is Disappointing
I was waiting for Space Exploration Fest because the Star Ocean Games are obscenely expensive, especially 6, which is really lowly rated, so there's no reason for it to be $60, but the Star Ocean games are not on sale!!

They were claiming that the AAA space exploration games (this means the Star Ocean games) would be on sale, but they are not. What gives, Steam? This Space Exploration Fest is a gyp!

Steam doesn't select the games nor does it dictate the pricing - Valve merely holds the event and then it's up to the publishers to opt-in and provide the discount(s) on their product. If your game is still full price then complain to the publishers who chose not to offer a discount or join the event.

And how exactly do I contact Square Enix (they are still the publishers of Star Ocean, right)? Or should I just complain by not spending beaucoup bucks on titles worth a third of the asking price?

You go to their website for your region and see if it has contact information. But keep in mind that by the time anyone read your question, the sale would likely be finished.

Just shop around using this https://isthereanydeal.com/

We need a realistic Space sim, like the one they have over at PSVR, when you have to repair the the Hubble Telescope. Too many of these space games are sci fi.

In space no-one can here you scream (at obscenely expensive prices), sadly on the forums we can...

Oh, that's gon come in real handy. Thanks a lot!
I got all three Watch_Dogs games directly from Ubisoft Connect because they often have surprise sales that just pop up for one day and bring the games down to 10 bucks, but I wasn't aware of any other service to buy games from. Really appreciate that link. You're a lfiesaver.

There is a "fest" every week or two weeks. I don't even pay attention to them... I just look at my wishlist to see if something I might want (at a hefty reduced price) is at the top of it.

Agreed, was kind of surprised to see that some big name space games (Starfield, Jedi Survivor, Terra Invicta, etc.) are not part of the sale. One would think such games would be.

I know I've already replied to this and thanked you, but I must do it again. I just bought a couple games through Indie Gala using this link, and I love how they sell you a Steam code for the game. With the Watch_Dogs games, they're not connected to Steam, and even tho they're legit copies, they operate through Ubisoft Connect, and all Steam does is launch them. But many of the sites you buy games through with this just sell you a code to activate it on Steam.

Thanks again, you're a lifesaver. Or rather, a money saver.

There's a 30 day cooldown on discounting games and Stafield was on sale within the last 30 days so it couldn't be part of this sale even if they wanted to.

Want to also suggest Steamdb site - https://steamdb.info/app/1776380/
gives what discounts it got in the past on steam and also what period it gotten discounts. It looks like it goes on special spring, autumn, summer, winter specials. Last year it went on special about 13 September, and for the last year give or take, it gets a 50% discount excluding the one 40%
