Cannot Join Family Invite
Trying to setup a family sharing group with a cousin, but I keep receiving this error:

Your account activity does not show that you are part of the same household as the existing members.

How is it determining this? We don't live far from each other.

It requires every person to have the same Steam Store Country (this may require a recent purchase to set the country code on the account).

This doesn't necessarily mean you have the same Steam store country.

The Steam store country is an account setting. Check thst setting on every account involved.

Get the same trying to add one of my nephews. I'll be rather annoyed if I can't even add them, have shared games with the brats before.

Apparently a workaround is to have the person you want to add log into your PC with their account and then switch to your own account and invite them.
Steam will see that their last login was from the same location and add them to the family.
Thats at least what helped some users with that error according to Reddit.

Thanks, guess I'll see if I need to drag all my nephews here this weekend or just the one. Invited all three but only one has been online so far.

I’ll give that a go

Did that work?

Sorted out one nephew myself, worked fine. Shame the others are elsewhere for the school holidays. Explains why they haven't been online.
Thanks for the help!! Changing the country had solved our issue. ♡
