The store have more than 100k games, just pick something you like by using store tags , it can be a good start imo ... no need to fomo the mass ...
Not counting you can use the feature "discovery queue" on steam also
Otherwise, look what seems most fun to you and give it a try. If you are completely lost, why not get a bundle from some reputable store like Humble or Fanatical so you can try a few different games for a relatively low price?
