Conclusion: Get the remaster Spider-Man game.
I would not call Miles Morales just DLC length but its noticeable shorter.
Also its set storywise AFTER Spiderman Remastered so i would start with that one anyway.
If you really like Spiderman Remastered and want more later you can always get Miles Morales down the line.
It is 100% DLC length.
Took me around 16 hours for 100% completion on PS4.
First Spiderman 22 hours. (around 90%)
So its shorter but i wont count that as DLC length.
DLC for me is something like 3-4 hours of content.
But i recommended anyway he should get the first one.
I got 400+ hours from Iceborne for MHW.
I got at least 20+ hours from each DLC for Nioh 2.
ETC.
And considering that Miles uses the same map and assets as Spiderman, it should have been a DLC.
