NHL SERIES FOR PC

I have always been a huge NHL fan over the years. I would be really happy if the NHL series was introduced to Steam. It would be game over, as far as I'm concerned. It would be...TAKE MY MONEY, lol. I wonder if Steam has plans to introduce this in the future? I know that there has to be demand for it, but I feel that the NHL has just a big of a following as the NFL.

If you want a good hockey game look at a sim called Action! PC Hockey. It is not on Steam but that is good as you own it when you buy it as there is no DRM. Seasons for it are on sale often and it is very affordable. It is an in depth coaching sim first with some GM / ownership mixed in if you like but there are no financials which is good for some who don't want the headaches. Also while it doesn't have licensing there is a very good community for Action! PC sports games that will help you doll up the product. The link below will tell you more about the game.

Thanks for that piece of information regarding the game you mentioned. However, I am not looking for a coaching sim for ice hockey. What I want is a pure out and out blood and guts full simulation of the NHL. I actually had an NHL sim for the Playstation 3 many years ago. It was fantastic, so there is no chance of me wanting a coaching sim of an NHL game. But thanks for the information. I appreciate it.

Steam can't introduce anything - they can only publish games on behalf of other publishers who wish to use the platform to sell their games.

Thats EA that doesn't want a PC port. The NHL series doesn't have the numbers to justify porting it over to PC like the FC series does. That might be for the best. The NHL console community is, by far, the worst collection of sub-human trash I've ever witnessed.

Seriously? Well, I never took part in the NHL console community myself. Never been interested in it. I've never been a part of the NHL console community. I just played the games which I enjoyed greatly.

I think, in time, that stance may change though. Those of us who are fans of the NHL can only but hope.

Interesting. I was always told it was a profitability issue.

Do you have any links to info that would offer an explanation as to why the NHL said no?

I used to buy the series on PS. I stopped around 2003 because it was just constantly more of the same.

Doesn't bother me it doesn't exist here.

F.Y.I I also no longer buy the NFL games for the same reason.

The fact that they have not ported it is source enough. In the 7 months since this topic was made you could have researched and saw posts in EA's on forum regarding this. Beyond that is the fact that the numbers tell the tale, low sales on console means less likely for a pc port, that is a given in development/marketing which you do not seem to have a grasp on the backend of things. Essentially time and money would be wasted porting to pc.
