Downloading randomly stops or goes up to like 7 hours
I have very good internet and a decent disk and first everything is okay but then it goes up in time or stops and then it goes back.It really affects my downloading time.It doesnt happen in any other client just steam.

not sure what country you are in but try checking your download settings go to library,then downloads in downloads it gives you options for your setttings of regions and speeds ,or even just clear your cache and sometimes that fixes the issue not always but sometimes.

Also experiencing slow download. Speed Test indicates 800+Mbs up/down, but steam download at 35-50 Mbs. ARMA3 install currently at 20hrs and counting. Something seems seriously wrong here. Does no one have a reasonal explanation for this?

Usually, ISP issue.

Test other gaming clients/Stores downloads, such as via Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, EA desktop app, Ubisoft, GOG. If they are all slow/bad, very likely ISP issue -- contact your ISP for help.

If only Steam is bad/slow, and the other clients/Stores tried are fine, then ISP not the issue but something else.

Note: ISP means Internet Service Provider.
