Question about Achievement completion
Hello, correct me if I am wrong i just want to check few things about achievements completion rate at steam profile:

1) If game gets update and adds new achievements, I will lose certain percentage of overall achievement completion rate;

2) If I remove game, but I have a single achievement, it will still count toward achievement completion;

3) No matter how long I played the game, as long as I didn't earn ANY achievements, it doesn't count and my completion rate wont drop

4) (This one is the only one I'm unsure of, but correct me if I am wrong). I have Payday 2, and I did few achievements but it still says 0%, because game has more than a 1000, and I have like 10-15. It will STILL count and drop my % down because I did some achievements, regardless if it's 0%.

Seems about right on all points, as far as I know.

Edit: Wait, what do you mean by "remove" in 2? Refunding? If that's the case, I'm not 100% on whether the achievement will remain.

1. Correct

2. Also correct, does not matter if refund or voluntary removal, achievements are linked to your profile once unlocked, it does not matter if you own the game anymore.

3. Also correct, you need to unlock at least 1 achievement in a game for it to count for the global achievement average calculation.

4. Honestly no clue but it should count since its unlocked achievements.

Thank you for responding, I'm just curious about 4th point that is left. But I would also guess it doesn't matter it's 0%, it still has some achievements unlocked, so it should count.

You only need to be eligible for achievements to count towards the global percentages. You don't actually need to have any achievements, just start the game. That's the reason the first achievement you're guaranteed to unlock in a game can have less than 100% completion rate.

Yes, it counts. Rules 1 to 3 apply, the only rule left is that of rounding.

I am pretty sure this is not true from my own experience and what i read by users who actively hunt achievements. Its true that the achievement statistic internally triggers for a game when you first start it but no stats get added to the global average till you unlock at least one achievement.

This is why I made an achievement showcase right before csgo's achievements were taken away

So the count of the achievements I got in that game still shows up. It doesn't show the specific achievements, but it kept the number :)

why do you buy games if you don't actually "achieve" your achievements, hacking them and showing them off like you earned them lol pretty sad really

You mean the achievement showcase where avg. completion rate is calculated? You're correct.

The global percentage is indeed based on how many players started the game, not earning the first achievement. I figured out when achievements were added for Risen.
