Can anyone help me with this?

I was revisting an old game, Just Cause 2. That game was one of the first games I owned on Steam. I also owned the first one. For my youtube channel I wanted to replay the series, but Just Cause 1 wasn't in my library. I remember owning it. I MAY have like a decade ago, since it was a trash game anyway, had it permanently removed from my steam library. No problem, I'll just download it again from the steam store. But it only let's me buy it again. I removed games from my library before but usually if I wanted to return to them the store would give a notice like "you already bought this game" and just let me automatically add it back to my library. I'm not upset enough to contact steam support on this issue, but I would like to know if there's some time limit in place that makes it so if you "permanently" remove a game from you library it will go back on sale rather just still "owning" it, just not available in the library until you go to the store again.

I been on Steam for over a decade and know that the "remove games from library" is much different now, that may have something to do with it.

Did you check to see if it was listed under hidden games in your library? Or any other filter?

What does the store page for the game say when you look at it?

Go to the Support page, search for Just Cause and then select it and choose "Its not in my library".
If at ANY point in the past you owned the game and removed it it will give you the option to restore the license.

Ah yes I forgot about that. I havent needed to use steam support in years. Last time I permanently removed something only to bring it back to my library was like 5 years ago. thanks for clearing that up!
