what is up with steam icon on task bar lighting up
steam has been glowing green and yellowish in task bar like the there is a notification but nothing is there

A pre-loaded game will show up green in the icon as it continuously rechecks for the unlock until the game releases.

Thanks for the info. I've got Days gone pre loaded and been trying to fix it since yesterday. Been on Steam 10 years and never knew this....

It is extremely annoying. It does a check about every few minutes and it has been known to make games freeze or stutter when doing so. If you run into issues like that, change it to "only update when launched."

A thread with a couple others linked to show it can have issues...

I pre load a few games I dont remember this think one of the was boarderlands 3
