Collection Sorting

Does the "alphabetically" sort actually work? Every time I use it, nothing changes and I'll always have to manually sort things myself in my collection.

When I click "sort alphabetically" it either doesn't work at all or sorts them *not* alphabetically

As far as know that doesn't work in the client although it's been asked for many times. I don't think we're talking about the same thing. Can you post a couple of screenshots of what you're looking at?

You can move from collection to collection like that, but within a collection it shouldn't.

What do you mean? You go to "edit collection", then you simply hold left click on any add-on, then move it somewhere. I had zero trouble doing that, it just took time to move all the add-ons alphabetically on my own.

Add-on is what they call the items on the workshop. Add-ons…or mods.

I thought you meant collections as in your Steam games library.

Are you talking about Garry's mod?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured out what you're talking about. It would help if you used more words or a screenshot like I asked so it wouldn't have taken this long.

Workshop Collections... I don't use those, sorry. I can't help with those.

Edit 2: Just played around with creating a workshop collection of my own and can confirm that listing the collection alphabetically is working for me.

just did it with two workshop collections. moved them around manually and saved them. went back in to them and clicked the sort button to alphabetical and saved it. they were in alphabetical order.

my guess is that there are some special characters or something that is breaking the sort.

I had an issue with the sort alphabetically button when I noticed there were some mods that couldn't be found. I guess they are mods that were removed but when you enter the edit collection site they are shown as mods that can't be found—removing those fixed my sort button.
