Alternatively if your account is compromised and they have an APIkey set for rerouting trades they'll try and scare you into trading by telling you'll be banned in an hour/24h etc. but you can save your items by transferring them to a friend. They'll then cancel the trade and recreate it to a fake account. Users that are afraid of losing their things just smash through the verification process ignoring all warnings and boom, items lost for good.

Honestly the biggest red flag is "I accidentally..." Like reporting on here is a several step process. How do you accidentally type a blurb about how you think another user has done something illegal.
