I asked if my character would get sexually harassed by other characters and got a permanent ban on the DA:V Steam forum.

???

I then got a 4 week ban from Steam on top which I appealed so am now unbanned.
It was an honest question, I do not like sexual politics in my games you see.
As a result of being banned, I will not purchase the game, and will advise other normal people of doing the same.

My question is, why are some devs/admins on Steam so malicious and why do they seem to hate honest discourse?

Why does asking if a character is gay, or has a chance of being hit on by a gay tend to trigger these people and have you banned?

Do they not want acceptance or similar?
The way I see, we are all human, but if you want to act like a supremacist, that's not on.
A gay supremacist, an anti-truth supremacist, whatever, it's all the same.

Being banned just because I said a character was a self insert? It seems I just hurted someone's feelings, probably one with green hair. Banning people for such a silly reason is tyranical.

I would say just extremely fragile and tantrum prone as their followers

I've criticized Inquisition's lack of healing spells multiple times on the official BioWare Discord and haven't been banned or warned once for saying negative things about their games. 🤷‍♀️
