Plus that people often forget that companies have different interests, preferences, priorities and views than users/consumers. They don't always align, and that's ok. At the end of the day, the companies decide the price points they want to receive and the consumer decides whether they want to pay that.
Doesn't mean things can't be critiqued, of course. But that also doesn't mean things have to happen differently.
In a sense they do lose out. But it's not a question of discounts. As I said before, it all comes down to shelf space. Naturally, stores want repeat custom. To get that with games, they can't sell the same few titles forever. That's one reason digital appeals to publishers. They can sell on any system for however long that system remains relevant. They aren't limited to the few weeks or months that a store will allow their title to take up store shelf space.
For those who truly appreciate gaming, and aren't just out to get things for free, both digital and physical work in their favour. If your know a certain publisher doesn't discount to your liking on digital, then you can look to physical and, more specifically, the second hand market. There are amazing deals out there if you prepared to be patient and look around; even with the current trend in the west to try and turn retro gaming into a collectibles market.
I really miss old school single player story line style FPS like Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. I wish they'd make more solo adventure games of those styles..
I'm so far past multiplayer craziness.
It makes perfect sense. What you mean is that the price isn't one you want to pay. The answer to that is shop around. Don't limit yourself to one walled-in platform or system.
That's why MW2 has been sitting on my wishlist for a decade.
Good campaign.
I have 1 and 2 and WWII(from a humble choice bundle. )
Because Season 6 and MWIII ended last month. We're on Season 1 of the new game, BO6. In fact, we're already on Season 1 Reloaded...
