Steam previously said that they would only reject anything that was actually illegal, but now certain consultation groups have painted targets on anything with an anime visual style. And for whatever reason, Steam is actually listening to them.
Steam will currently allow games with actual pornographic material in it (like Balder's Gate 3) onto the store without forcing an adults only tag on it, but games with an Anime visual look to them are getting rejected outright or forced behind an adults only tag, which essential makes the game invisible to most people. And this is being applied to anime games with no nudity in them at all.
wonder how those 3 dozen anime style games daily are getting through this "mythical" filter meant to keep them out.
Truly, some peoples politics rot the brain
Stopped reading right there. Baldurs Gate 3 has ZERO pornographic material.
Its about as "porn" as Witcher 3 or similar games.
You see some boobs and naked ass during akwardly posed sex scenes, thats about it.
Pornographic means fully visible genitals and sexual penetration or full visible sexual acts like fellatio or similar with visible genitals.
Baldurs Gate 3 has none of that.
And you conveniently cut out the definition of "pornographic material" that he included a couple lines later.
Just because you think some basic-R-rated nudity is "pornographic", doesn't make it so.
Nudity in of itself is not pornographic.
Tokyo Clanpool AFAIk has multiple scenes where you "rub" your mostly naked team mates for energy and several of them have the appearance of being of a "questionable" age
So that is the most likely reason
But of course, like quotes, you cut the parts out that don't fit your agenda
Yep, and Baldurs gate 3 isn't coupled with any visible sex. No different then any normal movie that has a sex scene where nothing graphic is shown and you might see boobs or a naked butt.
Those just like Baldurs Gate 3 aren't classified as Pornographic.
IF the game in the OP was banned/refused release on Steam then its because it has sexual situations with very underage looking characters, something that has always been a big "no no" for Steam, no matter how its presented in the game.
