Profiles have been defaulted to private for years.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Internet_theory
Once someone kicks the hornets nest, everyone who can't think for themselves are gonna wanna have a go at it. And since point farming is a thing, well guess again.
In other words, if insert word/news/ideology is trending, you bet your universial credit that people are gonna join in.
In my case it's from a psychological perspective. There is nothing funnier than watching and collecting peoples reponses and turning them into profit.
Show some credible evidence of it if you guys are going to spout weird conspiracies nonstop.
That would be the obvious conclusion. However, there's always the option of publishing your research for purely entertainment purposes.
Oh, and those private profiles? Some of us can still remember when the Social Justice Stasi would "doxx" people for things like suggesting one "Anita Sarkeesian", despite the vast improvements in gaming resulting from her astute critiques, was possibly not the greatest shero in all of herstory, and then call up their places of employment and screech about there being a major Bigot stacking shelves in their sportswear section until said employment was terminated.
There was a time when I found myself falsely accused of a serious crime simply because I got involved in the complexities of the Gamergate controversy and attempted to create discussion groups to untangle the confusion of the situation. Many participants acted in bad faith, and the environment was tense and unforgiving. But just because we witnessed those bad actors at work doesn’t mean we should justify reacting in kind or clinging to an opposing ideology as if it were a game to win.
It's 2024, and it feels like we should have learned more from those chaotic years. Instead, we still see people caught up in posturing, fighting for ideological wins instead of meaningful progress. What’s disheartening is that now, the right seems to have adopted the same tactics once used against them—amplifying division, digging trenches, and escalating the culture war instead of building bridges.
I’m tired of that mindset. I want to grow, to be a better person, and to help others rise above this cycle. It’s time to focus on understanding, empathy, and real solutions rather than fueling the same conflicts that hold us back.
There is no evidence of this.
copy/paste wording full of the same predictable buzzwords. it's literally like those anti-Trump MSM composites that say the exact same thing.
what you said had nothing to do with what you replied too. why did you necro this thread just to say something so useless?
