Norland
The Game Norland,

It seemed like a pretty good game but for me it felt a bit like it glorofied religion and I won't try to explain why that matters to me because either people get it or they don't

But to let others know, they not only banned me from their forum for asking if it's a general theme, they also rejected my refund request but REMOVED THE GAME from my library.

I did not know this was possible, but apparently it is.

"I won't explain it, you'll agree if you have the same opinion as me".

Yeah dude, very mature.

May I come to your house and be like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to you?

Think about the answer

You've asked if what was a general theme? And even more importantly, how?

What did Steam support say when you contacted them?

If you're not going to explain your issue in full, what do you expect us to do? If you only want to complain in an echo chamber, start a blog.

It is a game ... not reality. When you start to let games mean more to you then actual reality it is you that needs a check, not the game.

Do you really think it is the only game that does that? If you don't you haven't been gaming since the 70's like I have and have seen it over and over again.

The thing is even if it is based off a real religion it still isn't real unless you allow it to be for yourself.

It seems more like your common sense left you.

Developers dont' get to refuse or accept your refund. It's automatic in the first 14 days & 2 hours of playtime. I've also only very rarely heard of developers actually removing something from someone's library in any way. Can you check your purchases lsit and verify it still appears there

I didn't say people would Agree, I wrote that they would get it. Big difference.

Easy to say if your life is all sunshine and rainbows. For some of us reality has negative value though, and any sort of distraction from it is about the only legal alternative to permanently checking out.

I asked almost pretty much:

"I started this game and it seems to glorify religon in a way that makes me uncomfortable, So before I go past the refund timer can someone say if this is a general theme for the game or is it just a plot point?"

I can't remember exactly what I wrote since I'm banned there now but I did not flame anyone, The harshest terms I used was "Will I get the glory of religion shoved down my throat?" Which the answer was apparently "Yes" according to the two people who didn't instantly start flaming me for asking the question.

Thanks for trying to help and answer!

It did not shove up there when I wrote this post but I can see it now that yes they say they've refunded. But even though it's several days ago the money is not back in my bank. Maybe there's a longer delay than I'm used to for some reason.

If you refund within the first 24 hours Valve did not receive the funds from your provider so the transaction is cancelled. The funds will return once your provider processes it.

It's either this or accidentally hiding it in the library before a refund, as the most likely scenarios.

OP Post the actual message you got about the refund, developers do not have any say in if a refund is given out, so your factually wrong and not telling us what actually happened.

it sounds like it was stated that the refund went thru and your just not noticing it
