I do not like the anime cat girl themes for the seasonal sales

Its just so boring and uninteresting compared to other themes we had. It reminds me of the 2019 steam sale art, because of how lame I find it.

IDK, maybe the anime girl reminds me of V-tubers.

2022 was the GOAT for me, those were beautiful and interesting themes and background.

You don't have to have Steam open the store page upon launching nor have the news pop up turned on.

(also, until I saw this thread, I hadn't even noticed the hat. Because, as mentioned, I rarely see the front page. I have my Steam set to open on the Library, because my goal 99% of the time when launching Steam is to play a game.)

From what I can gather, each year there's a particular theme that runs throughout the year during the big seasonal sales. This year it's the steam delivery girl, last year it was the pixel city thing. So if I'm correct, she'll appear in the winter sale and then there will be a new theme for the Spring sale.

Though personally I love the art.

You can't please everybody.
Every Sale artwork is disliked by someone. If they made no sale artwork people would complain about it.

OTOH I kind of dig they're getting back at having some sort of 'brand identity' with the Steam Girl featured in the sales art. Kind of how the old mascots worked long time ago. For years the sale artwork was simply jumping from one place to another.

I don't buy profiles and stuff, but I consistently liked the nameless(?) delivery girl theme since they introduced her several sales back.

Also seems they keep doing the switchable background.

+1 I love the new art, it's a great way of Steam to make me spend more money on the platform to get all the art this year.
