Competency of Steam Support.
Every year it becomes worse and worse to the point that it is nearly impossible to use steam discussions now.
Been banned so many times by steam support up to 9 weeks of community ban for nothing.

I even once been banned for 30 days just for leaving "+1" in one discussion.
(This ban was lifted by other support member after contacting via creating a ticket)

The last "itch" which brought me here is receiving a 30days of ban at one popular game hub. The guy directly insulted and tried to dox me,received a rude answer from me (no insults,no other kind of rules violations) but I end up being 30 days banned by steam support, not him. (I sent a report on his comment).
It looks like even if you precisely follow steam rules you will still end up banned sooner or later.

Second problem is that Im browsing a lot of game hubs (because i play a lot of games) and see tendency of steam support locking popular, very important threads, threads with a lot of discussions about cheaters in the game, bugs, transaction problems and other important things end up locked for no reason. Almost like Steam Support dont want people to discuss particular themes which could affect sellings of the product or reputation.

Third problem is that i rarely receive propper response from Steam Support in tickets. Mainly auto-replies,scripted replies or if you lucky enough - excuses that they cant do anything about the problem while it is technically possible to attend. (By technically i mean that they have tools, permissions and other possibilities to solve a problem).

I believe that majority of Steam Support agets must be dismissed with a subsequent ban on holding such positions in other companies since they clearly have no idea what working with people is,much less providing technical support and moderating.

Funny to see that this thread is deviating from original topic, now people discuss piracy here. Im ready to bet anything that Steam Support will come and lock this thread now. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
I was just making a point.. It was said once and no one even brought it up till you did lol..

What its turning into (as usual) are a bunch of trolls who having nothing to say apart from you broke the rules deal with it; effectively trying to incite an insult or reaction that will get them banned..

Personally im here as i can't contact steam support in regards to a ban over the same stuff this guy is and has been going through.

I have also been banned plenty of times on forums; one example is as a result of simply asking on a v-rising update post to add an arena or pvp game mode..That was it.

This was only recently changed as a result of steams court case, forcing these store fronts to tell people so.. Before hand we were not aware.. Basically we got lied to and they sold software as products in the traditional sense; like if you were to buy a car. We were not aware that they were "leasing them" to us..

Nope:

CDPR - Witcher 3 released in 2015. The Eula has not changed.

2. WHAT YOU GET WITH THE GAME

We (meaning CD PROJEKT RED) give you the personal right (called a 'licence' legally) to download, install and play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on your personal computer as long as you follow these Rules. This licence is for your personal use only (so you can't give a sublicense to someone else) and doesn't give you ownership rights.

Secondly you play Rust (Facepunch) which has a Eula: Rust released in 2013.

1.3. When does this Agreement apply to you? As soon as you download, install or use any of the Facepunch Services. If you do not agree to it, please do not use any of the Facepunch Services.

You are bound to the terms of a Eula even it if you choose to skip it but feel free to take a developer, publisher to court and prove Eula's are not legally binding.

In both examples Valve did not write the Eula because they did not create either game.

You also don't own any of your games; they are licensed to you and can be taken at anytime steam see's fit.
What does that have to do with this thread?

You've never owned the games:

And?
Raising awareness.. Its false advertising. They just went to court over it.. In your steam cart when you purchase a product it never stated anything about this and no one reads eula's..

Its like leasing a car through its manual but selling it over the counter as a product you own, and never telling the customer that they don't actually own the car.. Who honestly reads a car manual unless they have to for some reason?

Few things there;
-30 Days bans are usually for people with an already-big moderation history.
- "+1" is considered spam, and if it's used to bump a thread is also usually for spam.

30 Days paired with that displays a relatively strong pattern, so I have doubts that getting to 30 Days is for "nothing".

Please show me a Rule,Guideline or some kind of prohibited Online Conduct behavior paragraph that restricts leaving signs of agreement with thread author by leaving "+1" in the comments. Especially when i have response from other Steam Support agent that this ban was issued for no reason and was lifted afterwards.
Thanks, take your time.
It's considered spam/non-constructive. One of the issues is people try to "rules lawyer" out of things blatantly obvious on most forums as a "do not do". Instead of deleting if someone has a strong history, they tend to act other than just deleting a post.

The problem is you don't say that. You come in here saying they are wrong and they should not have the discussion.. You also just copy paste random stuff to prove an illogical point that often counters what you're trying to prove or has no context..

If you don't care or disagree then say nothing or just say you disagree.. No need to go lighting fires

I was banned for "redundant post."

My post?

"Yes."

It was also the first post in the thread.

Get your quotes right.. "Received a rude answer from me is from the OP".. lol

And as for the other accusation, you realise this post has nothing to do with shilling nor is it done by a bot.. I think you need to go look up those definitions.

"No one reads it" is on the user.....not Valve.

It's right there. You agree to it with every purchase.

"Sorry Officer, I didn't read the sign, so I don't have to stop. No ticket for me."

None of what you said makes sense.. No one reads it is on the user not the user?? Translation please?

And no its not right there..... thats the point of my analogy

Except for the fact the speed limit was on the back of the sign and the front was blank

Well in my case i can't contact steam and this discussion covers exactly what i want to talk to them about.. So i'm just hoping it gets seen (doubtful)
I received a warning from steam moderators for warning a person about a game's (stalcraft) abhorrent staff and their penchant for censorship, lying, and abusing their playerbase. Literally all of that is well known by the community and yet they deleted it for being "abusive".

Earlier this year when Sony pulled their ♥♥♥♥ with Helldivers 2. They gave out refunds to my entire group save for one person. This person put in his refund request before any of the others in the group. Had SIGNIFICANTLY less time in the game (literally bought it like a week before that ♥♥♥♥ went down) than the rest of the group. Steam support ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around the entire time and eventually denied his refund while giving everyone else in our group theirs despite having couple hundred hours each into the game and having it for well over a month. So now he's stuck with a dead game and no friends to play it with xD.

I'd call support a joke but jokes are funny, they're just sad and pathetic.

I'd say borderline sadistic tbh
