Censorship in Germany for of Steam store is horrible
Half of my wishlist items got removed, because of this sick censorship for Germany. Do I really need to go to shady Steam key merchants forever? This is already an issue since 2020. Please Steam care a little bit for german customers again.

You cannot talk to our government, they do what they want to without listening to people, but that is another story.
Still I think if a government does things like this, there has to be a solution.
Even the stores where you can (legally) buy keys are often shady, if there would be at least a total trustworthy store, I would say "ok, then I buy the keys". But I already got 2 times refund by the store, because the seller (store != seller) sold me a key that already had been used.

Post scriptum: About age verification - Developers need to pay money to get their game age verified. Often indi developers do not have that money to equal with sold copies to german customers. So it does not work.

Completing the content survey (which is required before a game can be released on Steam) takes 2-5 minutes and doesn't cost anything.

To get age verification by PEGI for example costs money. I do not know that Steam changed rules that they have their own verification and not only accept it by official ones.

He's a game developer himself.

That I did not know as well. Guess most devs are then just too lazy to fill out a form and think "fu germans". Because I already addressed the issue of game being censored in store for germans to some devs and they ignored it.

The ones listed on Is there any deal, aka ITAD, are legit.

that's what happens when you use grey market sites. They pretend to be trustworthy, but they aren't. They're also not listed on ITAD.

You may want to check the PEGI website, they literally state it's "cost-free".

True. Not every market is considered important to every company. And when you're in that market, that sucks.

Didn't even know this was a thing

When you search for the latest terror attack, the city name Magdesburg or anything related, you get 0 results on all search platforms in Germany.

I don't think you understand how Germany only has evil people in government, literally not 1 good person in the police or anywhere else.

I mean, if you're getting refunded, keep it up, doesn't sound shady to me...

Verifiably wrong. I live in Germany and if you search for that with ANY search engine you will get a ton of results.
So you are either very much lying or suck at using search engines.

However the result might be differnt, like in China, if you search for political topics. There is votings in a few months, so other countries might be more neutral than Germany.
yeah, i just did a quick google of the tragedy and its all througout German Media, as expected.
