Can we make Steam families bigger?
Simply put - I have a family of 9.

So now I have to selectively choose which kids get to be part of the steam family and which don't. And apparently, I can't even swap every now and then to be fair, because it locks you out for a year?

Come on Valve...you wanted this to be strictly to be used within families...so why are you excluding some families?

You have a spuse don't you. They share with half the kids, and you share with half the kids.

And if that wasn't limited to a single country they would rediscover long-lost relatives from all over the world.

Yup, if the spouse games as well. A family of 6 is actually very reasonable.

No matter what max limit they chose, it would eventually leave some families out. Most families will be covered by 6. Yours, not so much. But they had to pick something so they went with a more common size. Sorry. You're going to have to get creative.

Families can be 30,40, or even more people.... They have to cut it off at some point. The average family size is 3-4 people, so its already generous.

This is literally just my immediate family. I had 5 kids, got married, she had 1 kid already, and we had a kid together. So 7 kids total, plus myself and my wife.

I'm the one with like 2000 steam games, my wife didn't own a real computer before meeting me.

Wouldn't it be better to just leave it unrestricted but limit to an IP address or such?

Or just allow someone to have a larger amount than 6 if they can simply prove they actually do have more than 6 in their immediate family?

With blended families it's not really that unusual.

No, because IP address is so easy to spoof, not all family lives together, and Its for more then just your immediate family, you can share with ANY of your family. That includes nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, etc.
