Where is the write buffered in the new function?
I'm trying the new Steam recording feature and noticed that the default duration is a huge 120 minutes. Where is all this information buffered before saving the recording? If to disk, it will kill it very quickly, because constant cycles of recording/deleting information quickly kill the SSD, using up its resource. For HDD, this is also not very useful. If in RAM, then this is already better, but there is no warning about this. For 60 FPS in 2K quality with the maximum preset, this is ~28.8 GB with a default of 120 minutes.

P.S. All this is true for the background recording function, since it is the most useful for gamers.

That is a bit exegerated by you.
Even with the ammount it writes/deletes it would take years before any negative impact on the drive happens.
