And the premise of that discussion is a rumor:
Which has been proven to be false and just blatant misinformation being spread around. So again, you're the one who brought politics into this by basing the reasoning for this "eventual video game ban" on lies. People have proven the claims that there is going to be a ban false, with evidence. You now claiming that people proving your claim false is derailment is laughable, and also just proves this was nothing more than a sad attempt at bait to begin with...
They're all on the same page.
if you actually read the link provided, the excerpt being spread around is from a 2019 statement regarding video game violence in regards to an at the time recent cluster of school shootings. Politicians and other bodies met and discussed with rating agencies and other relevant parties and.... well that's about it, not much came of it. Also nowhere did Trump actually say he was looking to put out a ban on violent videogames, just make it more difficult for younger audiences to get their hands on them (likely with stricter enforcement of age rating systems and the like).
So yes, what you're stating is 100% misinformation and based on an out of context quote and fearmongering. You just saying "not false at all" doesn't suddenly make it a true statement.
I mean before we even get that far down the conspiracy theory railroad Rangers likes to go on, lets first off just consider the fact that, again, this supposed "video game ban" is 100% misinformation and fearmongering based on an out of context quote, which Rangers has jumped on like a fly to ♥♥♥♥ as per usual. If the video game ban is not actually a thing and just a load of fearmongering and out of context quotes being used to misconstrue words that were never even said (and based on the original speech, no actual ban on violent videogames was ever action mentioned), the conversation can just end right there. Until there's proof of this supposed 'ban' that isn't just putting words in Trump's mouth that he didn't actually say, there is no next step, there is no discussing how they'd push it through, because the entire premise of the conversation is FALSE. Don't let Rangers drag this conversation down the shifting goalpost rabbit hole like he always does. Make him actually provide evidence there even is a supposed ban in the works in the first place.
Well, just for the record, "Ranger" didn't do anything. I know i'm a popular poster here, and so it all comes back to me. But i have no idea what Trump said or did not say. I have no idea about Project 25.
What i simply said, and makes sense, is given the new political realities, and the people involved including Mr Musk, there is likely going to be some sort of reckoning by states, or government who atp point are on the same page, about "woke" or "DEI" matters as it pertains to what our children partake in, which of course includes, video games.
And that there would NOT necessarily be a ban, but a look see into these issues, in ways there were not before.
And so, "Ranger" did not bring up anything of fact. Anything of "misinformation", but pointing out an "opinion", which we can all have about the current political landscape.
I am humbled i get the reactions i get. But we should take the time, to read what folks say.
