Well can you actually prove it then? Or are you going to just pretend your completely incorrect and shoddy takes on how 'the real world works', which couldn't be farther from how the real world actually works ironically, are proof in and of themselves (which again, they are not).
Based on the actual facts and evidence provided to you throughout multiple discussions of the course of MONTHS regarding these topics, you yourself have proven you don't actually know how the real world works.
Sir your job is not to tell others how to do theirs. I suggest you take the test, and practice what you say you're gonna preach. My guess is, that will never happen.
As to Trump banning games, Trump is banning nothing. The Congress and others will act, as will his FTC or other appointments, not to mention states.
Thank you for confirming yet again that this thread was wrong, and that the OP's statement of Trump banning games is incorrect. I had already shown that weeks ago, but its nice to see you've finally reached the same conclusion
I gave my views in how these matters may play out. And it did not involve Trump. But it will involve others.
Well it seems the only way we can solve how the real world works, is try doing what Brian is saying, and see who's right, he or i
Kinda like how I said that Microsoft wasn't buying Steam when you made that thread. Its why its important when you hear a claim like this to actually research if what people are claiming is true. Sadly people lie and you can't assume everything you read online or hear on youtube is true.
You need to see if they have articles or links to EVIDENCE to back up. Otherwise people fall for random claims and just keep spreading the fake stories.
I also wouldn't hold your breath on Trump letting anyone in the government do anything. Remember Trump campaigned on a policy of REMOVING government regulation. Allowing senators to pass more regulation on business would go against what he campaigned for and promised people.
I'm sorry, have Mr Newell or MS now say that is indefinitely not going to happen?
Can you prove that given all the government oversight and pressure Mr Newell is under, that changes will not be made?
Does "deregulation" mean not suing media sources he does not like?
Threatening to remove their licenses?
His support of even repealing Section 230? Those "deregulations amongst others?
Again, burden of proof is on you to prove they WILL happen. You're the one making the claim.

It has to happen. We're seeing the highest levels of our government getting involved. They sued Xbox. They sued MS. They're suing GOOGLE lol.
And somehow you think Steam is gonna withstand the wrath of they? Ignoring letters of inquiry and playing footsie with govermental committees for years?
Okay, that's your case.
So slippery slope/association fallacy then? None of what you're saying actually constitutes as proof. You'd think someone who claims to be retired law enforcement would have SOME idea how this works but apparently even that was likely a lie.
Also MS and Google were sued for entirely different things (namely due to monopolization and antitrust practices, something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the current conversation). So again, do you have any proof that this is or will happen or is it just more vague fearmongering like always with you.
Still waiting for any actual evidence, other wise it's safe to assume you're just making up things as usual.
You've been telling me i'm gonna lose all my games. At that point, would it matter?
Look, and i know you know this, i love Steam. I'm having the best days of my gaming life.
But Mr Newell is anti consumer, as are those he does business with.
Some of those folks, may be the very folks screwing the pooch, having the wolves guard the hen house, and that was forecasted by me, and MANY others, as bad business.
And bad business folks, get regulated, monitored or sued, and should.
Very anti-consumer.
It isn't good to just say things. Especially false things. But job habits die hard.
And MANY more changes coming up the pike. That is a guarantee.
