Was there no disclaimer about one-liner contributions as well? Because they're not contributions, are they, they're just 'gotta say something quippy because I don't have a counterargument to the content'.
Sick of them as well, so you may consider that another part of my complaint about how discussions play out in the 'Steam Discussions' channel. Cheers.
It doesn't matter if you break the Steam rules or not, game devs run the game hubs in their own way and Valve is fine with that. And no, no amount of people posting their ban issues here will change that.
The truth is that people are free to run their property (Valve) and their assigned property (the game devs in their property) the way they want. You're not owed a space for your soap box and they don't have to provide it.
I see - you know this because obviously you're a Steam employee, and very high up at that, because otherwise you would have no authority whatsoever to make claims like this, and they've all the weight of salt.
You seem misinformed as to whether I care about any of that. What's the purpose of the lecture? Does it give you a sense of power that maybe doesn't exist in your non-Steam-exec day job?
I don't care if I'm never able to post again on the Veilguard channel with this a/c. Makes zero difference to anything in my life.
I'm posting this information, because I find it amusingly absurd - pathetic even, which it clearly is.
It completely negates the point of having any forum rules. Call an 'information piece', if you want a label. I'm sharing the information for others who may similarly upset one of the overly sensitive Bioware-mods.
'Here are their triggers: don't mention support of Trump, don't mention the nasty purple colour scheme they think is cool and don't mention that they're all about to lose their jobs'.
Aye, aye - I hope I clarified my stance re: all of that with the above.
Doesn't change what I said, though. A discourse on it won't change things. Valve doesn't care much about the forums.
Are you suggesting what I wrote was 'insane'? I found it very reasonable tbh.
You're repeating yourself. Do you know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?
I made it clear I don't care about 'changing things' with my post. You seem really hung up on the notion that I do - let me say it again: I don't.
You should not make assumptions, though. I don't care if you do or don't want to change things. Posts made are not just for you, but for anyone visiting the thread.
Once I finish my sandwich, I'll click the forum away again. So no worries, love.
And I think anyone voting for people who'll obviously destroy America is insane ;) Glad Americans made the intelligent choice.
I'm straight and have a girlfriend, in case that wasn't obvious from my anti-Veilguard stance. In other words, don't go calling people 'my love' online - you never know who you might be talking to or how they might react.
Thanks for your contributions anyway - I'll click the block if there's any further discussion, so I'd invite you to find another thread. Cheers.
Haha - pretty much this. However, someone's got to call this out, because people who need psychological assistance with processing innocuous small talk will eventually implode IRL.
I mean, given that all the Bioware staff are about to be sacked and will have to find real work, I'd hate for them to not receive the help they need.
Read the post again buddy. Multiple times stated I could less how the ban is interpreted - I'm merely providing the associated information as 'public service', should others on the forum find themselves in Bioware-land and happen to suggest they support Trump, for example, and a Bioware employee has a meltdown as a result.
