It's listed on the Steam Deck Store page.

No one can give you an exact date since it's impossible to know how many people will actually complete the "order" process, within the 3 days of receiving their emails. And even after that, everything is dependent on stock. It's too soon to give a more precise date.

Usually, the quarters are:
January, February, and March (Q1)
April, May, and June (Q2)
July, August, and September (Q3)
October, November, and December (Q4)

Edit: Honestly, this is all about patience, if you're not Q1 just forget about it for now.

Btw, a good place for updates is on the Steam Deck Discussion section. It'll most likely be far busier once the full reviews are out and people start ordering on the 25th: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/

Right now it's really difficult to find that page without the actual link.

Yeah i visited the steam deck store page and it said AFTER q2, i just couldnt believe this was right thats why i was askng.

I reserved it july 2021, its been 7 month and now i still have to wait atleast half a year more, this honestly makes me very sad.

A lot of people preordered the steamdeck

If it said "Expected order availability: After Q:X" that just means you haven't pre-ordered it yet. It will change to "Your expected order availability: Q:X" once you pre-order it. Not really more precise but different wording.

Patience is a virtue. That said, you don't necessarily have to wait. The Deck's competitors, while being more expensive, rock the advantage of actually being available.

Don't worry man, mine is the same time frame as yours (just be glad you got yours secured). Not to mention, I'm not thrilled to blow $600 in one sitting so it gives me a lot of time to cope :P.

You and few thousand others ordered it on the same day. Then there was the delay as Valve wanted a couple extra months to fix things before it released.

The GPD Win line of devices, the Aya Neo line of devices, the OneX Player line of devices. Emphasis in "line of devices", they all got several.

Theres still the Switch, but that can't run your Steam games.

Which device would you say beat the steam deck specs wise and run games smoother?

Price doesnt matter for me, would even spend 1.5k.

If the price doesn't matter for you, go for the most expensive. From what I gathered, LTT's head honcho Linus is a huge fan of the Aya Neo Next. With this dudes' gamer cred being out of question, that seems like a good choice.

That said, what device beats the Deck is a good question. CPU-wise, the Neo Next looks to be it. GPU-wise, however, the Deck may just as well be the best you can get in the next few years.

I recommend you not to take my word for it. Instead, watch LTT's videos on those. That's Linus Tech Tips, I ain't sayin' this to be the only trustworthy YT channel, but it's one I know that is both trustworthy and fun to watch.

I would really love to get the deck right now, sadly the next 6+ month waiting time is killing me...
