Can you 100% a game on Steam without paid DLC achievements?
By 100% I mean specifically when it shows the little medal on the game cover on your library. I remember Playstation 3 did this where you could get like 70% and you're still awarded the platinum because you got all vanilla trophies and the rest are dlc. Does Steam do this? Not a big deal if you can't but I wanna know.

if a game has achievements you need dlc to unlock no you will be stuck at whatever % you can get without that piece of DLC

unless you cheat and unlock them without achieving them with the use of SAM

I'm an honorable achievement hunter, I'd never cheat them in. Thank you for clearing that up tho. :rghost:

Some games in vanilla will have x amount achievements just check in your achievements, until a DLC is added it remains on the vanilla, once DLC is added those achievements are then extended.

In this case, would you lose the 100% status and/or the medal icon?

yes and its kind of annoying especially games you got to 100% then the devs add a free upgrade dlc and adds on more achievement lol House Flippers is such a game.maybe its intended kind of forcing us lovers of 100% to play it. DLC though you have a choice dont install DLC.
Is this what you're talking about?

Yes you would. E.g. Northgard and Two Point Hospital added achievements in every expansion. So when those came out, the 100% would go down to something else as the new achievements became available.

truesteamachievements.com tracks base game 100% completion
You won't see it in steam but at least you can see it there, and then wait a couple years or whatever to buy and play the DLC
