What will happen if my disk full while patching files
So right now I was updating Apex Legends, when I start the update it immediately patching the files from 0 gb to 71 gb.

If im not wrong patching files is like overwrite or replace files, add new file etc. And patching file using disks

Now my patching files process at 30 gb out of 71 gb, and my disks is almost full. I want to know what will happen if my disk full while patching files, is it gonna stop the process until I have more space in the disk or what?

Yes the update will stop till more free space is available. Cause when updating the update needs to have free space to unpack and update the files. And if new files are to be upacked the files need space for that.

Try to uninstall a game you haven't played for awhile to get the free space you need.

you will probably get a message something like...
you will need to make room on your disk drive to continue

If I decide to cancel the patching, how can I free disk space just like before patching?

I never played apex but with most online games you won't be able to play online unless you have the newest version of the game. I suggest you uninstall a game you haven't played for a while. But if you plan on playing apex online you will need the latest version. But if you stop the download then go to where you have your games installed and look for the downloads folder you can delete the files in there to stop the update. The normal location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading

I think I will try to free up some space. After the patching is done, the file that is not needed will get deleted?

Yes. If you have more then one hard drive move a game to that hard drive you can use steam to move the game to another hdd.
