Still avatars gone from Points Shop?
I noticed there seems to be no listings for still avatars in the Points Shop. Now this could have happened years ago but I'm not attentive nor do I use the Points Shop that often. But what happened to the still (aka, non-animated) avatars? Looks like you can only buy animated ones now.

I don't like Steam stepping away from things like points, trading cards, achievements, etc. I know that game developers and publishers have to actually decide to do that with Steam's collaborative efforts but STILL.

I wish Steam would push it more w/publishers and developers! It's the only redeeming quality about Steam considering the only reason we're all here is lack of a better alternative for many games.

Wait, so the lack of non-animated avatars means a step away from achievements? That's interesting, what else do you have?

Well you as an individual can use static images of anything you want really as long as it follows the rules so the need for game companies to make them for steam points is not as demanding because of that.

If you own a game, and it has a static avatar, you can find it by choosing: Edit Profile"> Avatar > My Avatars > See All.
That will open up a list of static game avatars you can use from games you own that have static avatars.

Most items in the Points Shop require that you own the game to be able to purchase them with points. Why do you want to spend points on something that may already be available to you at no cost?
