With whom did you discuss the structure to decide the requirements were not necessary?
If you don't like the new terms, blame them.
no i'm not gonna blame anymore, steam family sharing worked fine for years and a few people doing illegal ♥♥♥♥ isn't anyone's concern, real life doesn't work like an imaginary line on a white board, steam works by giving more coinvent service then pirates and family sharing with friends and families outside a person's region was one of them. the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ industry has family sharing and the system works perfectly. I can't believe this geo lock would have even come to place in the modern effing age of the internet
it's more useless and intrusive cause it doesn't accomplish anything, what the hell so if i wanna change accounts put the user in a one year timer? the whole of steam store is literally successful cause it provides features the best available from other sectors of entertainment but usually it's doing stuff counterintuitive to that, even custom music was removed like wtf
That statement seems …. incorrect.
then by all means shut them down , bravo on that, however don't make things inconvenient for the billions who would use steam. Only an idiot from ea and ubi or should i say netflix would make a move like this except when it comes to steam , at least that's what i thought when i was going to family share with my brother and his friend in eu
right....i just checked your profile and it seems you are from usa, this law does seem like it was build with your people in mind, same with Netflix, freaking hell you guys screw up things so much for the rest of us
That doesn't change what I said.
Streaming services want you to pay them for more then one Streaming device in the same household.
"Family Sharing" on Consoles usually (if it is what i have in mind) means you log into the console with your account, and games might be shared to other accounts on that device......also something which is not wanted to be used outside of it.
They actually gave a HUGE boost in usability for families. Now games are pooled and all can be played independently.
Region and family hopping locks aren't an issue for most families, as they're all locally near.
The 1 year cooldown is not enough.
The same store country lock is a slight improvement over the old SFS.
