Was it sent from Valve?
Or was it sent from a random person on your friends list?
Or was it some random game developer no one has ever heard of?
ex... This is not from Valve...
https://store.steampowered.com/app/513790/DEADLOCK/
The notification just says: "You have been invited to join the Steam Playtest for Deadlock!"
Accept or Reject
The way the name is spelled, not all caps, is a dead giveaway.
Playtest notifications aren't malicious. But knowing which game it was for since there are more than 1 with the same name is always best to ask.

It's the really sus one with no icon, and doesn't link to the store. Are we sure this is a safe game? Here's the exact link to the one I got invited to https://steamdb.info/app/1422450/
That's Valve's playtest.
Also, the engine is a huge giveaway. https://steamdb.info/tech/Engine/Source2/
Oh okay, thank you for clarifying it for me. I was worried I got some kind of scam or something.
but why is there no store page for the game?
Closed testing. No page made available yet.
