Now, you have few choices:

1. Sell it through the steam market at market price.
2. Scrap it into the gems.
3. Do nothing and wait for they're vanished forever.
4. Trade with someone for other item

My suggestion is the choice#1 because you will get something back.

I observed that scrap it into gem grant you ~20 gems with is quite low.
You can scrap the equivalent price and get more gems.

Extremely limited items tend to be like that. It's literally to push FOMO and forced engagement.
