Not allowed to ask people to clarify their opinion on Steam
The quote from the guy who couldn't back up his comments with evidence:

I find it so funny when someone who played for 25 hours is arguing with someone who played the game for 500+ hours.

Sure, mate, you know better. If you want to argue about something - at least experience that something first.

My quote that got a ban:

You were asked simple questions. I predicted you'd avoid them, as they require evidence. Thanks.

Madness.

Probably 98% of Steam is on a ban right now.

Respond to the ban message and let the game forum moderators deal with any issues.

Game forums are moderated as they see fit if they have their own moderators.

No dude.

We allowed to say 'clarify your opinion' on Steam.

Moderators have no right to ban someone over that unless they are unhinged and cannot handle the fact the person who was asked that question could not provide a straight answer.

The moderator who delivered ban should be fired 100%

'clarify your opinion'
what does this mean?

Yea Steam moderation can be ridiculous. Like a completely innocuous post can get you a ban because someone's feelings got hurt over it lol.

If you can't understand it then I don't think a translator will help either

It's gone nuts... They have a hard-on for certain people who will abuse and goad and bait, and you if you civilly ask them to clarify their anger, and it exposes them to having to articulate an opinion, you have obviously made a fool of them - and Steam mods will ban you for that.

It's f**king mad.

Oh, BG3 rage is still a thing.

No buddy - this is about simply asking someone to clarify their opinion about why WOTR writing isn't bad.

And then getting banned because the person couldn't express that opinion.

It's mental.

I really wish Steam mods actually took some level of nuance into their judgement. If you post something that is meant to be sarcastic or snide but isn't otherwise directly insulting, they'll interpret as is and ban you on that post alone. I guess that would take too much effort though.

TJ, I know you from the BG3 forums, you're constantly spouting venom and homophobia, like calling the game "Baldur's Gayte 3" because of your disapproval of the gay characters.

This is disingenuous.

You're reported for calling me 'homophobic' without actually quoting evidence.

Also this about my being banned over asking someone to 'clarify their opinion on fiction' - literally that.

Go tell me how that's homophobic.
