Without spoiling anything, can you explain why you recommended P3 over P4 and P5? At some point I do want to play one of these games, and I'm not really sure which one to play.
If you compare it to a newer point-and-click, like Walking Dead, there are some obvious differences. Both have good storytelling and visuals (and I personally think GF has better music), but Walking Dead made pretty big improvements to its UI so players can spend less time either doing trial and error or trying to read the game designers' minds. This is a game design issue, not a patience issue. If you play Grim Fandango, I think you shouldn't be afraid of looking up a walkthrough when you get stuck. (and definitely use a walkthrough if you want to 100% the game)

I believe Life if Strange 2 would also be a good recommend though -- and this reminded me of "The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit", a small and free title from the Life is Strange universe. Can't (nicely) link it here due to it for some reason I can't recall sitting behind an age-gate but it'd be a good taster for you liking the Life is Strange stuff or not if you don't yet know.
It's a slow burn, but there's a reason the series has an enthusiastic fanbase that holds it in high regard. If you play it and like it, you'll want to get its direct sequel "The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC" as it finishes the story.
Be warned, these games are a time commitment, first game took me around 61 hours and the second game took me around 94 hours. Granted, I did do some side stuff.
If you're okay with VNs there's also: https://store.steampowered.com/app/413410/Danganronpa_Trigger_Happy_Havoc/
Make sure to start with this one if you're interested in the series. High tolerance for anime is recommended.
