+1. It's a good game.
Regarding OP question: Pentiment, To the Moon.

The Walking Dead series is extremely good (you can also just grab season 1 at first, but if you're looking for narratively driven games I can sort of guarantee you'll be coming back for the rest anyway; the linked collection is around $10 on sales). Certainly one of the or even the best "interactive stories" -- although also note then that that's quite different from a game such as RDR2.

Telltale's "The wolf among us" was by the way also very, very good; much better than I expected.

if I remember correctly I am pretty sure I saw it for closer to 5 but also if I didnt want games like the telltale games and games and mass effect I would have just said so plus I am always looking for different types of games I haven't played much of

I'll plug one more; had it on my wishlist for years; recently played and immediately regretted not doing so sooner: one of the most narratively engaging titles I've played (although you probably need some appreciation for 1800-timeframe history, and may need to not be religious). Different again; narrative adventure with RPG elements.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the Life is Strange series yet...

Since another comment mentioned The Walking Dead, I'd also recommend taking a look at TellTale's The Wolf Among Us. (and eventually The Wolf Among Us 2 when that releases.)

I have played Walking Dead season 1 (not the whole series) and can confirm it's good, and I also liked Bioshock. These are my other favorite Steam games with good stories.

(Portal itself doesn't have the best writing, but I still recommend playing it before playing Portal 2)

I've also heard that Final Fantasy 6, Persona 4, Witcher 3, Persona 5, God of War, Disco Elyisum, and Baldur's Gate 3 have good writing, though I haven't played these games.

Yakuza 0, best story driven game of the past decade, during sales you can literally pick it up for a few dollars.
