Coould you guys ban freaking Banana game ?
This << Banana >> game scam is pathetic and just unfunny. What's the point ? Does Gabe like the idea of making money on the back of scammers ? We all need to show to the steam company this should not be legal and tolerated.

Hmmm...yeah, about that:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2923300/Banana/

Developer:
Sky, AestheticSpartan, O'Brian

Publisher:
Sky

You see the words Valve there, anywhere?

Nope.

"Steam" didn't put the game on the Steam store, that dev/pub did.

You guys fly off the handle and you have absolutely no idea how this works.

IF the game is mining, or breaks some other part of the contract,.only then will Valve take action.

Yes, contract . You pay $100 to put a game on Steam.

On that perspective. The million people who have played CS2 today have made more 'enviromental damage' and wasted more energy running a full game with the GPU than 300k people leaving a small executable running while they browse the internet, work or play other games.

Mind the fact that this game isn't actually doing anything intense in regards processing power. It isn't mining crypto or decoding blockchains.

That's your opinion and it can be said about every game on this platform. Free or paid.

I'd love to hear your reason for Banana existing. I gave you multiple why it shouldn't.
You nor I get to say whether it exists or not. This isn't your call or mine. Nor is this your or my platform.

Here's a novel concept. Don't play if you don't like it.

thats your opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion
...and guess what? An opinion will not remove that game from the Store.

Listen dude, I already answered this ♥♥♥♥ argument. I'm also asking your opinion pretending naivete but you aren't even trying. The simple fact is: there is absolutely zero reason for this existing. You will ask 1000 people and none of them will have a reason. It's purely destructive. It brings no one happiness as it is not a game. It creates no memories. It's incomparable to any game or any cultural artefact. It only exists because it can. It only exists because the law hasn't caught up.

Your relativist argument doesn't work since you will not find a single person in the world with a heartfelt argument why this thing is something positive. And I already told you why it's terrible ecologically. Either bring an argument from any person in the whole world why this is genuine or stop speaking in generalities that you repeat for everything to excuse yourself from thinking and feeling.

A lot of words for someone who thinks a game called Banana is somehow worse than any other game on Steam including Hatred. :P
I still don't know what the hell is the issue with this Banana game at all.

Actually no you haven't answered it. what you said is an opinion with no facts. you added your feelings to it therefore it shouldn't exist? lol ok pal i think you need to put whatever your drinking/smoking down. there is a lot of games that shouldn't exist but until they break a rule they will continue to exist.

lol i remember when people was getting up in arms with adult games on steam thinking they can control what Valve does. well that really didn't work for them It reminded me of Tipper gore going nuts over video games and tried to say video games= bad behavior. it didn't work for her. why do you think thought will do it. i don't care if it exists. the game lives rent free in your head lol.

they think their opinion matters and must be listened to. we know a word that fits that lol. if everyone got their way then this world would be done.

That's an opinion, not a fact.

It breaks human decency. It created an artificial currency that relies exclusively on market prediction. Meanwhile since its release so much energy has been wasted since literally hundreds of thousands of computers (400k atm) are continously switched on, 'mining'. It's pathetic how supposedly we are trying to fight climate change, yet are unwilling and unable to take down such artificial ♥♥♥♥. Ban this abhorrent trash.
Welcome to bitcoin.

A cry to self perceived morals doesn't equate to a law, unfortunately.

Fixed that for you, agree
No, it's self perceived. As the mass production of the device your posting on is more harmful to the environment than the banana game you're protesting.

Why bring up Ecology?
That word does not mean what you think it means.
It has to do with plants in the real world.
LOL wut.
And animals.

Good grief.
And spelling it out is nonsensical.

Ecology is the study of the relationships between living organisms, including humans, and their physical environment; it seeks to understand the vital connections between plants and animals and the world around them.

Bro, you gotta try harder, it's literally the first definition. You are not on the level of this discussion, stop pretending you know what is happening.

And yet, you cannot bring up ecology here when talking about games on Steam.
Since this is not a real life setting.

So, please do not use incorrect nonsensical word choices.
Or I shall start using ancient Gaelic slang in my words here. :P
Also insulting people nullifies everything you say.

So, you just came here to insult everyone and make up gibberish.
Well, what a wild thing.

So your argument equates the existance of the production of computers (mines used btw) to the Banana game?
No, I'm saying you're trying to fight a scuffle in outrage, whilst not partaking in the war.

Lead and other harmful chemicals leeching into soil from tech landfills is much more harmful than a banana game.

Or crypto mining, MUCH larger of a power use/energy waste than the banana game.

Or that corporations make for like 90% of the air pollution. Or that even renewables like solar, still have toxic byproduct.

The fight you've chosen is such a small scale, in the grand scheme of things. We're finding microplastics in small bottom-dwelling creatures in the Mariana Trench but no...banana game bad.

The oceans are dying for example, you know, where we get MOST of our oxygen.
