Demos on Videogames.
Games demos should be a MUST! that every videogame company has to offer a demo of the game to test it. why are we not fighting for this?

Because its up to the developer and demo's were more of a marketing tool. With the resources available today its already easy to see what a game is like before you buy it, so demo's aren't as useful as they once were.

Because it's fighting wind mills. Unless you want to go the legislation route, but I think that it's highly questionable that'll achieve anything.

On something expensive, like a car, a test drive makes sense. But for small time products it doesn't make sense that creators have to privde samples or something.

Should contact every government, and convince them to make new laws to punish every developer for not immediately make a demo of their products, and give free stuff to people.

Well, why aren't you fighting? As a customer, you got strong leverage, called "vote with your wallet". Feel free to boycott any game sans demo.

I personally don't really care. There's reviews galore, it's hard to NOT be able to make up an informed opinion on a game before buying.

Imagine if you went to a grocery store and demanded free samples of every product. But the grocery store is only offering free samples of a specific set of products they feel will improve the sales of those products.

Now imagine that instead of the grocery store preparing a display where you can sample a product, somehow the manufacturer of that product had to prepare the display. And you wanted the grocery store to force every manufacturer of every product to prepare such a display under some kind of penalty.

For a lot of products, that doesn't even make sense. What does a "sample" of a mop look like?

If you force people to do something they're probably going to put the least effort into it.

The way Steam has been trying for devs to push demos lately (The Next Fest events) seems to be working quite well instead.

Or find a way to skew things to their advantages. It's not hard to make a rather legally acceptable misleading demo.

We have seen a rise in such things oparticularly from smaller devs. but then you have people complaining about Prologues.
