Though I'm not sure about this particular version you are talking about, I've played some other versions online with a friend. You likely be able to play with friend for this as well.

Worms Armaggedon should be playable online, if the servers still exist, last time i played more then a decade ago i think.
But if i remember correctly you should be able to host games & connect directly with the ip too (firewall settings might need some tweaking).

Worms Armageddon is working fine online, world party not sure about, some of them also have remote play together so if no online then play local but over the net.
