I LOST MONEY CUZ OF STEAM
First of all now i understand why so many people buy games of G2A and sell their skins on 3rd party webs instead of Steam.

I sold a 200 dolar knife on Steam Market and got 175 back [steam takes a % out of your sale] on top of that I had to wait 2 days and on top of that I add to my shopping cart games that are on offer discount that I want to purchase and guess what happens? [STEAM HAS A BUG/PROBLEM/ISSUE ] That doesn't allow me to use my 175 dollar steam wallet to cover the purchase of these games,I wait a day to see if it is maybe steam having an issue with the servers or something and maybe the next day it gets fixed but nothing , the next day I create a ticket that was not responded then I decide to spend that money on CS2 cases and try and buy the games with my debit card and NOW TO MY SURPRISE those games cost 1000 dollars , so from 175 it went to 1000 dollars , STEAM I had 40 games I wanted to buy on offer and now I can't due to your lack of customer service and your incompetence. Thank you for making your community CLIENTS go and buy games somewhere else Every update or decision you guys make is to ruin your platform and to mess with your clients, I HAVE TO WAIT 2 DAYS TO GET the money from my sale THAT YOU already take A BIG CHUNK % OUT OF IT jajajajaja is this for real ? ?? Valve you take more time into making these nonsense laws instead of making a good anti-cheat for hackers , with all this been said STEAM I'm not putting non of my money into your platform anymore,thanks for nothing but I just lost my energy with you all ,

You waited until the sale was over to finally complete your purchase?

Ive been trying to make the payment since the 7th , and It was not going tru , it was telling me [there has been an issue with the way of payment ] the way of payment is steam wallet and I had 200 dollars , the total sum was 175 . so clearly there was not an issue with the way of payment , also I was buying other thing on steam like skins from csgo with that same money , [TRY AGAIN LATER ] TRY AGAIN LATER] all that on yellow ., I'm going to try and find that specific pop up notification on google so you guys can see what I'm talking about \

But you didn't wait for support to respond to your ticket and spent the wallet funds on Market items.

There was 4 days to get a response.

I got $186.20 dolars on my steam wallet and i want to purchase games to take advantage of the summer sale discounts , ive been trying to buy 186 dolars worth of games for the past 2 days and i cant , it says that there is an error
I need help , if the summer sale offers expire im going to lose my oportunity to buy the games at discounted price .please help

Our records show that you have already spent these funds on in game items.

You can see your Steam Store purchase history by logging in to the Steam website, or the Steam Client, then clicking on your account name at the top right of the screen and selecting Account Details > View purchase history.

From this page, you will also be able to view or print receipts for past transactions.

Note: Credit card transactions may post later to your bank account than the actual date of purchase due to processing time.

From what you posted, by the time support could help, you already spent all the money, thus had no money so they couldn't help.
i did , but my money has nothing to do with the problem , i can also pay with my card if i need to , it happened that i had steam wallet money and i was trying to use it , but the problem is not with payment method is by accepting the purchase , i did wait for the ticket i did created the ticket i did tried 2 ways , credit card and steam wallet but the payment was not going tru ,
Do I understand this correctly?
1) You sold an item and got $175.
2) The $175 in your wallet was not being applied to games in your shopping cart.
3) You contacted support about the shopping cart issue.
4) While waiting for help from support you spent the $175 elsewhere.
5) Support thought the issue was resolved because you were able to spend it the $175 while ignoring that you wanted help specifically with the shopping cart.
6) Now the games you wanted to buy are more expensive.

If that is the case it sounds like you gained $175. I don't see where the loss comes in unless point 4 is wrong.
Thanks for that , im bad at explainning myself sometimes when im frustrated about something , this is exactly what happened and how it happened , I sold a csgo knife on steam and wanted to use that money to purchase the games . That is correct thanks for taking your time to putting it that way for them to understand better i appreciate that
Where is the "lost" money in this story?

It sounds like you made a purchase and then tried to make another purchase with the same money and were told you already spent it. Were you not given the items you purchased in the first transaction?

At the end of the day we buy on steam for many reasons . 1 is prices 2 having all games in 1 place so if i have to face this problems on steam and i lose the sales because of steam yes it counts as a lost . This is an issue that needs to be fixed and taken care of .

There will be another sale. And another. And another. Put the games you want on your wishlist and Steam will notify you when they have a discount available. And maybe next time if you have a support ticket about not being able to spend wallet funds, wait a little bit longer before using those funds for something different.

It sounds like you made a purchase and then tried to make another purchase with the same money and were told you already spent it.
That seems to be the conclusion support came to. From what ◢ ◤Dodi◢ ◤ is describing it sounds like it was only spent after the other purchase failed.

They will probably be on sale again in 4 months.

I'm curious... $175 sound like a lot of games. Were they all in your cart at once? I'm thinking there may have been a problem with specific games but if you had tried to buy them individually it might have gone through.

it was indeed 50 games to be exact within my shopping cart , games that cost $10 on offer for $2.99 . For example THE PRINCE OF PERSIA collection , or the assassins creed collection or the Resident evil collection are some of the ones on my cart that i was trying to purchase and play . I did try to refresh the page and i also give it time to maybe allow the system to read or confirm the games , the point is that i tried multiple ways to make it work and i non of them worked .

Thanks to a delayed response from Steam support, I lost my opportunity to purchase the games on sale.... My issue is in regards to my attempts of purchasing all the games in my shopping cart and Steam not allowing me to do so during the summer sale. My concern is why that purchase was not accepted by Steam and why instead the other purchase was accepted. I understand that, yes, I was able to purchase cases through the CSGO game with that same money on the steam platform BUT why did it not allow me to purchase games in my shopping cart when I tried to originally. It is very discouraging to me that when I wanted to purchase games during the summer sale I was not able to. I am concerned to put more money into Steam and run into the same issue; it makes me question whether will I be able to spend the money through Steam. The support has been unhelpful in resolving my issue. How can you ensure I can avoid this in the future?
