I typically pay attention to the banner that is on the store page for some time which shows the duration of the sale. Doesn't exactly seem predatory that someone didn't pay attention to that. Unfortunately Valve will be out the dozens of dollars that would've otherwise been spent.
Now I'm imagining the horror that would be trying to release a game update on Steam in local time.
I'm just amazed that you consider a sale having a set & openly-advertised ending time, as a "predatory practice".
Oh, no! Anyway. . .
No, I mean, how would you coordinate putting an update out for a game at 24 different times in one day depending on the player's location? That's terrifying from the point of view of whoever has to do it.
And that's not even considering fractional time zones or the time zones that overlap but are on different dates.
Hesitation, doubt, taking time to scrape some savings, skewed priorities, busy schedule... Whatever works.
Remember, 10 AM PST
The kicker? I won't be participating. If they can't give someone a reasonable amount of time to complete their purchase when I had clearly added the items to my cart already, they don't deserve my business. Any rational person would agree with me. I honestly don't care if you do or don't agree with me, though. I would appreciate you at least respecting my stance and agreeing to disagree rather than continuing to try and antagonize me. It's rather childish, tbh.
"Only" two weeks or "As much as" two weeks? It's up to debate, I guess.
Seriously, I want you to explain this logic to us.
I mean, it must've not been that important, so WHY are you mad?
20 minutes before the sale ended is also 20,140 minutes after the sale started, for comparison.
