Everyone was given the start and end time for the event...

I just went through a thread from 2022 because this exact thing happened to me. I was about to make a new post until I saw yours.
It's wild how people have become so conditioned that they defend these predatory practices. I was going through the sales and had Civilization 6 and Dragon Age Inquisitions added to my cart. I had been browsing for maybe 20 minutes just to make sure I didn't see anything else I liked. I go to my cart at 12:09 P.M. central, and they are now asking for $99 for what was going to cost me $7. NO THANKS. Steam can !@#$ all the way off with that !@#$.
Steam just lost all future sales from me. I have never heard of a sale lasting half a day (except for food products because places only serve breakfast or lunch at certain hours). This is just another attempt at a tech giant trying to lower the bar so that they can get over on their consumers. I wonder how many people added items to their cart and went to check out but were charged a different price because they didn't notice? Absolutely predatory. They know !@#$ well that a sale should last until 12:00 AM, not 12:00 PM (midway through the day). That's just insanity. They completely lost my respect for that.
The Steam store daily refresh is at the same time it was when the store first went live over a decade ago.
10AM Pacific Time
These threads always crack me up.
You had 2 weeks, yet you chose to wait until the last moment on the last day?
It did last until the 11th of July. It cut off this morning. Just like every other Steam sale event that cuts off on the morning of the last day of the event.
You had 2 weeks, yet waited until the last moment on the last day. It's completely on you bud, despite your false and misplaced outrage towards Steam.
Steam sale events have always cut off on the morning of the last day of the event. Pretending not to know that and getting worked up about it is kind of ridiculous tbh.
Overly dramatic much? The end date and time was known from day one. Further in the last 48 hours, there's a countdown on the store page of every single product included in the sale. There's nothing predatory about that.
It's about time people learned to be responsible for themselves.
