Can you craft the summer sale badge after the sales ends?

Will the cards still be saleable or tradable after the sale ends? And will I still be able to make the badge after the sale is over?

Yes. As long as you have a full set to craft after they expire, you can craft them at any time.

Valve made this change years ago...

I just crafted the Winter Sales badge last week. On an alt account, I just got around to crafting last year's Summer Sales badge.

i dont understand... why use cards
when you can buy all the badges
in the points shop with points..

You can't buy or trade them after they expire, 1 month after the sales event ends.

You can't buy the Summer sale event badge in the Points Shop. You can buy the Summer Seasonal badge in the Points Shop.

You have up to the validity date to buy/sell/trade them.

You can craft the badge after the validity date assuming you were able to collect a full set, or multiple full sets, before then. They'll be removed from your inventory but still be visible on the badge page.

I do not have that many points, and the cards are free I just can't do any trading right now or use the market.

Correct. Trading and the Market until August 8th. An entire month to do so.

After August 8th, if you have a full set of cards to craft the badge, you can do that whenever.
