Steam points giveaway?

Are you allowed to so point giveaways on steam last time I tried I got a 13 week community ban? If they are allowed where can you post them I’d like to give away 10j points anyone know?

I think it may be because I posted it in the cs2 forum I was able to gift one award before I got banned so I thought if I did it in this steam discussion forum it would be ok?

You could probably host the giveaway on the Off Topic section, I recall seeing one there before I think.

It is forbidden to beg for points. However, saying that you will give them away is not.

If you want yo give away points, then simply reward forum posts. No need to make a thread, no need to announce it. Just give out rewards. I've done that in the past until all my points were gone and never had an issue.

you can give away points here, and it happened a few times already. It starts breaking the Rules once you ask for something in Return.
