Playstation Network now required to play PS games on PC?
Greetings everyone:

I'd like to play "The Last of Us" on my PC, but I've read elsewhere that in order to play PS games on PC, Sony now requires players to subscribe to the Playstation Network. Is this true? I was about to purchase the game on Steam, and although there's nothing in the description therein which states that a PSN account is necessary to play the game, other sites state that it is now required.

Excuse my ignorance, as the last Sony console I owned was the PS2, and I'm not really a PC gamer (nor do I have much free time for gaming on my XB). I know that PSN is free and a PS console is not required in order to open an account. But before I purchase this game, I'd like to hear from preferably anyone who does not own a PS console, but has been able to play this, or any other new PS-only game on PC - with or without a PSN account. I need to know what I'm getting myself into before I spend money on just one PS game, besides possibly having to purchase a wired PS controller in order to play it. Thanks in advance.

It looks like it will only be required for future releases.
It's very simple: if a game requires a third-party account, that's noted in the store page. Look at that note and decide accordingly.
