Steam downloads are limited by
1) your cpu
2) your disk IO
3) your anti-virus
4) your ISP
Open Task manager and see what CPU and the Drives usage % is at when this happens
* ISP/internet specs?
Kind of Internet?
(i.e. fiber optics, LAN cable, ADSL, cellular (4G? 5G?)/etc)
I tried uninstalling the anti virus and didn't help also i have fiber optics so there should be no reason for it to fail
And what about the other thing I asked you to check?
Comparing to other platform doesn't mean much when Steam downloads compressed chunks and then decompresses them and installs them. If for whatever reason the drive is too busy decompressing and installing a chunk the next chunks download can slow, thus saying things are fine on another platform means nothing when they don't compress chunks and have decompress them,. Hence why I asked for the Usage % when it slows...........
