Left 4 Dead (1 & 2) is not on sale in Germany and Australia, please help me raise awareness

If you are located in Germany or Australia, could you please check? Even if you already have the game, I do too, it should be shown as being on sale.

Steam support seemingly doesn't believe me... yet, therefore I am trying to find some people with the same problem, hopefully then they'll actually do the tiniest amount of investigation into this.

Additionally, I made a short video showing the problem using a VPN. DISCLAIMER: I did NOT USE a VPN while being logged in. I ONLY used it for viewing the shop page for Left 4 Dead 2 in a web browser in a virtual machine, again, while not being logged in.

It wouldn't matter if you did. A VPN alone will not change your Steam store region.

It is likely that Valve either forgot to discount the low-violence versions of their games or decided not to.

If support don't believe you, there is little you can do other than show them screenshots of the different stores.

Well, the video does show that in Germany and Australia the game is not discounted, I think that's good enough.

But yes, that's my theory as well. I can't remember that this ever happened before, but to be fair, I don't regularly check, if L4D is on sale or not. I did only now, because I wanted to gift some copies.

UK here, both games on sale with a deep discount. Both games cost 85p each.

Hopefully they fix it soon for your country.
