It doesn't matter if it's binary or non-binary.
The real question is: why was it made in the Japanese comic style?
Honestly the western comic style is more attractive and beautiful.

P.S. the animation of the protagonist is completely uncoordinated.
And after having seen more than 300 different Japanese series, I can safely say it: the animazoine is made by an incompetent.
Obviously. to confirm my observation we need a Youtube clown to say the same thing, but considering that they are all ass lickers, no one will say anything.

You can't compare that. In all animes or cartoons there are several people behind them. I have seen alot different series too. And as an artist myself who has animated, i can say that the animation is not bad at all for a single person. There is A LOT of work behind it. And they have their own style that you just don't like, i assume.
Uh... ask the artist maybe?

Bigot.

How so?

The artist said she is a she.

:cool_seagull:

Well that doesn't exclude the possibility at all.

Depends on the artist
The sale delivery girl is actually an anthropomorphic hamster. :DubuPanic:

Inbetweening, also known as tweening, is a process in animation that involves creating intermediate frames, called inbetweens, between two keyframes. The intended result is to create the illusion of movement by smoothly transitioning one image into another.

Traditional inbetweening involves the use of a light table to draw a set of pencil and paper drawings.

An animator is an artist who creates multiple images, known as frames, which give an illusion of movement called animation when displayed in rapid sequence.

Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, and video games. Animation is closely related to filmmaking.

Other artists who contribute to animated cartoons, but who are not animators, include layout artists (who design the backgrounds, lighting, and camera angles), storyboard artists (who draw panels of the action from the script), and background artists (who paint the "scenery").

An artist must limit himself to doing what he is good at.
Artists who are pure illustrators and then animate are not complete in what they do. They always lack skill.
In the case of the VALVe artist his ability is poor: some movements are too full of latencies and do not intercalate / iterpolate correctly.

The I-do-it-all Artists should look at themselves in the mirror and say: ok, from today I'll only do what I know how to do.

And then it's incredible that VALVe (billionaire company) doesn't use an animation team or a studio of graphics experts: Like "rock band" do, who earn pennies compared to VALVe.
What in the garlic bread are you yappin bout?

Instead we should discuss the dog discrimination. Apparently only cats exist?

That style is western believe it or not. Western covers more than the "Jack Kirby" style of illustration you know.

Based Valve choosing some guys imperfect, charming, human art over teams of "artists" making perfect, soulless, factory-made-like "art"

Simple matter of "If you have nothing positive to draw, draw nothing. Or a cat."

Everything you wrote isn't new for me. I see that the animation is not from a experienced animation studio with several people working on it. And I see that the animation is not very smooth and i even discovered a small mistake where the seagulls in the sky just disappear for a frame. :happy_seagull:

Nevertheless, the anime standard with tons of frames for a second is a lot of work for one person when you consider how long a full playback of the background is. I know from my own experience how much work that is. And sometimes low-frame projects can even be a style you choose to use. Although I'm not necessarily saying that it's a suitable style for this background. :meadowfox:

However, the whole thing has more personality because it comes from an independent person. I really like that. And I don't agree with you that you should only do one thing and be good at it. I know the "be a pro at one thing or only half a pro at several things." You can specialize in several things, otherwise you will quickly burn out in the only thing you can do. And if you never try anything new and just stick to what you know, where is the progress? You have to try new things and learn to achieve a new skill.

Besides, you don't have to use it. Maybe the next one in the fall will be more suitable for you.
