Please Let Users Revert the New Steam Overlay
The new ingame overlay is a confusing mess with a ton of buttons that have to be hovered over to know what they are, and constant tab popups for each that can't be simply maximized.

I'm fine with it existing if there's an option to simply not use it. At this point I'd rather just use a second monitor, but that's not an option on a lot of setups.

The new overlay also has plenty of bugs yet to be fixed. Instead of opening the corresponding home page when you press the steam buttons (workshop, market, guides, forums etc) it instead opens the last window you closed which is stupid.

only if it also uses as much memory as the old overlay, seriously what a horrible decision that came out of the blue, we don't care about your dumb launcher steam, just don't get in the way of our games

There's an option which adds labels to all the buttons, Steam Settings -> In Game -> Show toolbar as list view.

I still haven't gotten used to the new icons where many times I go hover over them as you said, to see what it is, kinda annoying lol

That's definitely helped a bit. Still not digging the new look but it's at least more usable now.
